WGP: |
What records are you guys on? |
| Earl: | Cracks In The Sidewalk, Chunks, and Future Looks Bright... |
| Jack: | Yeah, we only do compilations! We know people will hear us. Our own album is coming out soon. |
|
WGP: |
Who are your influences? |
|
Jack: |
We don't like each other's music. We don't even like each other!! (laughs) |
|
Oliver: |
What happened to your old bass player and drummer? |
|
Jack: |
Our drummer and bassist left on good terms. Our bassist quit 'cause he really wasn't into it anymore. |
|
WGP: |
How did you find Earl? |
| Earl: |
Rob joined first. Rob met Joe at Polish hall, the night they had that big riot. |
| Rob: | I was drunk in the parking lot and they found me and said, "hey, hey, you're a drummer!" (laughter) Then I said," yeah I'll |
| practice with you." But I didn't really want to, but I was drunk! | |
| Earl: | I'd hang out at the practices and was familiar with the stuff. When the bass player quit, they asked me to join. It's pretty |
| easy. | |
| WGP: | What about the tatoo on your arm (an "S" shaped snake nailed on a "T" shaped cross, their logo). |
| Earl: | I got this after I got out of the hospital. I wanted a tatoo and I coudn't think of anything better to put on my arm. |
|
WGP: |
So tell us about your accident... |
|
Earl: |
This party with Black Flag in Carson. Cops came and broke it up. One of the cops asked me if I knew the girls whose house |
| it was, went out front, tried to look for her. Cops out front told me to go home. My ride was in the backyard. One cop put | |
| a stick in my stomach. The two other cops came up and started pulling out their night sticks, so I ran for it. It was a dead | |
| end street. I jumped a brick wall and hit a fence behind that, and fell 20 feet. Broke my leg. Knocked my teeth out. | |
| Opened up a hole in my jaw. (Talk goes to lighter subjects) |
|
WGP: |
How did you guys do in Frisco? |
|
Rob: |
Burned! |
| Earl: | Fuckin' great! |
| Joe: | I think we did okay. |
| Jack: | We were more energetic. |
| WGP: | What about your tour? |
| Earl: | The tours gonna be mostly on the east coast w/ Flag. |
| Jordan: | Are you guys gonna be on Saturday Night Live? (laughter) |
| Earl: | Black Flag is supposed to be on Saturday Night Live. (Talk goes on about Jimmy Mack Theatre) |
| Joe: | We had parties there. |
| Earl: | Me and Joe lived there. Our rent was to keep the place clean. |
| Joe: | It turned into a hangout. |
|
Jack: |
We had two really good parties there. Kids knocked holes in the walls, you could even spraypaint! |
|
Joe: |
We got kicked out 'cause the manager owner lady came walking in one night and say people crashed out all over the |
| place, beer bottles... | |
| WGP: | What are your favorite bands? |
| Jack: | Salvation Army, Descendents, and the Minutemen. |
| Earl: | Dead Kennedys, Black Flag, jazz fusion. I wanna play jazz fusion. |
| Jack: | I wanna raise great danes. |
|
