"surviving you, always" review (1984) |

My favorite line on here's probably the part where Jack Brewer asks the listener to uncircumcise him, but there's such a gigantic batch o' great wds on this fucker that everybody's bound t' come up w/ their own pick. Brewer shares a tendency t' extreme verbosity (& a religious fervor) w/ Flesheaters' Chris D., & w/ this new LP he's finally found musicians who're up to presenting his vision. Former recordin's by ST were held back by a weak rythm section, but Mark Hodson and Tony Cicero are completely on top o' what's goin on here (& w/ some o' the vaguely Mahavishnuesque shifts that's no mean feat). This allows Brewer & gtrist Baiza t' send twin laser beams o' skin meltin' heat borin' into our foreheads & the results're mind alterin'. Great skitterin' noise that you oughta own.
